Give your views on a loyalty scheme for Newtown

Now is your chance to give your views on a proposed new loyalty scheme aimed at promoting and supporting local businesses in Newtown.

Developed by the not-for-profit organisation, All About Newtown, Loyalty Newtown is an innovative proposal which outlines the implementation of a digital loyalty scheme aimed at creating new relationships between residents and their beloved independent local establishments.

Over the past few months, the proposal has been refined, which hinges on a digital loyalty card system, utilising modern technology in our pockets through Apple Wallet and Google Pay. The scheme is designed to benefit both local businesses and the visitors who visit them.

The scheme is designed to be rolled out to all businesses - retail, eating, drinking and more. It is designed to be tailored to the individual business need and local businesses are in full control of their reward offering.

To test if Loyalty Newtown would be feasible, All About Newtown are seeking the input and feedback from the community. Residents, local business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in a short questionnaire designed to gather valuable insights into the community's needs and preferences.

If the scheme is deemed feasible based on the responses and feedback received from the community, All About Newtown plans to present the proposal, along with findings to the new Newtown Town Partnership and seek external funding for the proposal, whilst working with local businesses and partners to initiate the program's implementation.
