Equipped with a QR code, the plaque allows attendees to learn more about the significant contributions of Robert Owen to the Newtown community.
Donated by the Newtown Local History Group, the plaque serves as a reminder of the rich history and heritage of the area.
The unveiling ceremony will be attended by the Mayor, Cllr Mike Childs and students from Ysgol Robert Owen who will do the honors.
The plaque will officially mark the birthplace of Robert Owen, an important figure in Newtown's history.
This year is especially significant as it commemorates the 100th anniversary of the demolition of Robert Owen's birthplace to make way for what is now the HSBC Bank.
It also marks the 95th anniversary of the Robert Owen Memorial Museum, which was initially located on the top floor of the bank before being relocated to Brisco House almost 50 years ago.
The event promises to be a celebration of Newtown's heritage and an opportunity for the community to come together to honor one of its most influential figures.
