New recycling bins arrive in Dolerw Park

Newtown's commitment to sustainability took a leap forward today with the installation of dual waste stream bins in two popular recreational spots – Dolerw Park and the Skate Park.

The addition of these innovative bins not only promotes responsible waste disposal but also paves the way for a greener and cleaner environment within the community.

These new bins, installed by Open Newtown, signify a proactive step towards reducing waste and promoting recycling. Residents and visitors are encouraged to use these bins for their waste, ensuring that recyclables and non-recyclables are properly sorted.

In a social media post, Open Newtown urged everyone to play their part in maintaining the tidiness of these recreational areas.

The bins were installed by Andrew Evans Landscapes with support from The National Lottery Community Fund/Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol.
