Newtown Post Office's current Postmaster, Kulwant Nijjer, has announced that he will be leaving the Post Office on the 5th of May 2023, after 18 years to pursue a new career.

However, he has assured the community that the Post Office will continue to operate at its present location and is not moving to the Spar, despite rumors to the contrary.

The announcement has laid to rest concerns that have been circulating for some time in the Newtown community that the Post Office would be relocating to the Spar. Mr Nijjer has also requested the public to kindly welcome the new Sub Postmaster who will be taking over from her.

The Post Office is an essential service in any community, and the people of Newtown are relieved that it will continue to be a reliable source of postal and financial services.
