High school celebrating A Level results
Newtown High School has announced another set of successful A Level exam results, with students achieving outstanding grades in their AS and A-Level examinations.

Newtown High School has announced another set of successful A Level exam results, with students achieving outstanding grades in their AS and A-Level examinations.
The Acting Headteacher, Natalie Havard, expressed her congratulations to the students, stating, “I wish to congratulate our students on their AS and A-Level results."

Notable achievements include Marianne Despres-Davies, who received three As and one A*, and has deferred her plans to attend Cardiff University to study Medicine as she embarks on a year of volunteering with the Red Cross in Paris.
Alanah Blayney achieved two As, one B, and one C, and will be studying Psychology at Cardiff University.
Dylan Owen, with two As, one B, and one D, is pursuing Business Economics also at Cardiff University.
Additionally, Dylan Ramirez Chavaz, who obtained one B, one A, and one A*, is set to study Chemistry at Birmingham University.
At the AS level, outstanding performances were also seen, with Francesca Humphreys achieving four As, Elle Evans with two Bs and two Cs, Katie Benbow earning two As and one C, Lucy Powell obtaining one A and two Bs, and Halle Trigg securing two As and one B.
Acting Headteacher Natalie Havard remarked:
"It was a pleasure to see the students collecting their results today, and achieving some outstanding grades. I would like to thank all of our school staff who have worked tirelessly in supporting our students through their studies. Their hard work and continued efforts have clearly paid off."
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and carers whose support has helped our students to achieve so much."

Powys County Council has commented that it was pleased to hear of the many learners who have achieved the results they needed to progress onto their next step to an exciting future, either at university, into an apprenticeship, or into the workplace.
This year, Powys learners have shown remarkable commitment and dedication, with many achieving top grades. The county has seen a significant number of learners attaining A* and A grades, as well as distinctions and distinction stars in vocational qualifications.
Cllr Pete Roberts, Cabinet Member for a Learning Powys, said:
"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our learners who have received their results today.
"Their achievements fill me with immense pride and I am thrilled to hear the stories of their success.
"I would like to express my gratitude to everyone at the schools who have supported these learners through their exams, and to the families who have played a crucial role in encouraging and supporting their children throughout their educational journey.
"The talent and potential of the young people in Powys is truly exceptional. Many learners have demonstrated outstanding abilities in various fields, from academic excellence to creative arts and sports.
"We are fortunate that our learners in Powys have a diverse range of skills and abilities and have bright futures ahead of them.
"I wish all our learners the very best as they embark on their next chapter."
