New volunteers are enthusiastically welcomed to join the cause. The group meet every Monday between 10:30 AM - 2 PM and have lunch afterwards at Hafan yr Afon.

Stephanie Green, the Cultivate Lead for the project, shared details of the work accomplished in September.

Utilising innovative approaches, Ms Green has successfully recruited new volunteers and initiated a weekly social media campaign to attract more support from the community, drawing positive feedback from Newtown residents.

Ms Green and the volunteers have been very busy around the town throughout September and October with litter picking, weeding, grass maintenance in High Street, Robert Owen Memorial Garden and St Mary's.

The project which is subject to a contract between the Town Council and Cultivate, commenced in May 2024 and is set to run for three years.
