In a social media post, Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council announced that 2,000 tulips are set to be planted in the outskirts of the town, joining the daffodils already in the ground.

The decision to plant tulips was agreed at a recently meeting of the Services Committee in order to create a more inviting and picturesque environment for residents and visitors.
In the post, the Council said:
"In keeping with our commitment to enhancing the town and its surroundings, the council has recently made an order for 2,000 tulip bulbs."
"These tulips, set to be planted in the outskirts of town over the next two weeks, will join the daffodils already gracing our community."
"This modest yet meaningful investment is part of the council's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the areas in and around our town."
"The goal is to create a more inviting and picturesque environment for residents and visitors, adding a touch of colour and vibrancy to our community. "
