Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council has unveiled a new anniversary bench to celebrate it's 50th birthday.
The bench, situated outside Spar on Broad Street, adorned with a commemorative plaque, serves as a token of appreciation to the community for their continued support over the years.

In addition to celebrating its 50th Anniversary, the town council has also recognised the remarkable dedication of Cllr Val Howard, who has served as a town council member for an impressive 25 years.
Cllr Val Howard, currently the Chair of the Service committee, has been an integral part of the council since 1999, fulfilling various roles including Mayor on two occasions. Her long-standing service and unwavering commitment to the town have been invaluable to the community.
Commenting on Cllr Val Howard's contributions, a council spokesperson stated:
"The council thanks and congratulates Cllr Val for her contributions and commitments as Town Councillor. "
