Members heard that three large trees adjacent to the Back Lane toilets have been shedding leaves, resulting in frequent blockages of the gutters despite the presence of leaf guards.
A survey conducted by Powys County Council revealed that one of the trees is hollow and will require removal in the future.
As a solution, the Operations Manager suggested planting replacement cherry trees in the area to not only maintain aesthetics but also avoid similar blockage issues in the future.
This solution would align with town council plans to increase biodiversity in the town.
