Newtown residents and visitors witnessed some remarkable achievements at the weekly parkruns held every Saturday and Sunday morning. With a total of 273 participants, both parkrun saw seasoned veterans and first-time runners alike pushing their limits to set impressive personal bests.

Newtown residents and visitors witnessed some remarkable achievements at the weekly parkruns held every Saturday and Sunday morning. With a total of 273 participants, both parkrun saw seasoned veterans and first-time runners alike pushing their limits to set impressive personal bests.

In this week's top 20 finishers, standout performances included Finlay Cullen from Maldwyn Harriers who claimed the top spot with a time of 17:13, setting a new personal best, Matthew Benson, with a time of 18:21 and Aled Breeze with a time of 18:34.

Richard L Jones celebrated his 188th parkrun this week with an impressive time of 20:25, coming in at 11th place.

There was no females this week in the top 20, with Catherine Bradley securing the 23rd position with a time of 22:23.

At the Hafan yr Afon junior parkrun on Sunday morning, young talents showcased their skills with enthusiasm. Logan M led the pack with a time of 7:43, achieving a new personal best.

Other juniors who excelled included Tommy P, Teddy L, and more who either achieved personal bests or ran for the first time.
