The Newtown Tuesday Charter street market is experiencing a 'shift' as one of its main fruit and vegetable traders withdraws.
However, reassuring news from the Town Council suggests that efforts are ongoing to bring in fresh traders to fill the void.
As reported by MyNewtown, during a meeting held this week, the town council's Services Committee disclosed that they are actively working to promote the market and attract new traders.
The committee acknowledged that one trader decided to leave due to various factors, including staffing and operational issues. However, it was revealed that the town council had approached another potential trader who had previously participated in the market.
Recently the Town Council has stepped up it's efforts to promote the market, with initiatives such as the Young Trader's Market held in August.
