Hundreds of runners participated in the first ever Newtown 10K, with organisers hailing the event a success.
The race, organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, saw 555 participants gather at Hafan Yr Afon in Back Lane, with the route taking them through the town centre before finishing at Back Lane car park.
The event's director, Alan Lewis, was delighted with the turnout and favourable weather conditions.
Speaking after the race to the Powys County Times, he said, "This is such a showcase for the town and I think people will revisit."
Lewis also praised the event's quick, flat course, noting winner Rob Samuel's time of under 31 minutes.
Samuel had recently returned from injury and praised the course and weather, saying, "It was a lovely course and a perfect day for it."
Many participants came from outside the local area and were impressed by the event.
